Town of Shellbrook Career Opportunities:

The Town of Shellbrook currently has an exciting opportunity for Permanent Full-time, Equipment Operator/Laborer. 

The Equipment Operator/Laborer, reporting to Manager of Municipal Operations, is responsible to complete the day-to-day duties associated with keeping the Town of Shellbrook and Town owned facilities attractive and in good order.

Essential Skills required include the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, working as a team and independently, as well as to understand and execute instructions provided.  You will perform general maintenance and repairs of equipment as required or requested.

You will participate in, and successfully complete training sessions, and be willing to upgrade skills if or where required.

This position requires you to be able to be able to physically complete assigned duties.

In this position you will operate various town equipment, assist with equipment maintenance, including recreation equipment. You will provide street and road repair and maintenance, water and sewer line maintenance, and water and wastewater testing, maintenance, and repair.

Qualifications:

Minimum Grade 12 Education or Equivalent.

Valid Class 3 Drivers License with air endorsement or be willing to obtain this within 1st year of employment

Current drivers abstract required.

Certification in water and wastewater treatment and collections or willingness to obtain within 1st year of employment

Experience Operating Equipment would be an asset

The Town of Shellbrook currently has an exciting opportunity for Full-time, Part-Time and Casual Building and Grounds Operator Level 1. 

The successful candidate(s) would be required to work varying hours dependent on the season, have a valid driver's license, willing and able to lift heavy items, enjoys working outdoors and can work independently.
