Golf Course

Located at 99 – 2nd Street SW, the Hidden Hills of Shellbrook Golf Course is a fully irrigated par- 35 course, with narrow fairways and well- manicured greens. The course is laid out along a rail line, and most of the holes are contoured fairways surrounded by poplar and spruce trees. A creek runs through two of the holes.

The golf club is fully licensed and hosts both a clubhouse lounge and restaurant. Just a short distance from the Sandtrap Restaurant, you’ll find a driving range and practice green. A pro-shop offers a wide array of golfing equipment.

The Club invites golfers of all ages and abilities to experience the course. Group, family, and business functions are all welcome and, for visitors with RV’s, an RV facility is just a short drive from the golf course.

The Shellbrook Golf Club is open to the public from dawn until dusk, seven days a week, from May through October.

Kinsmen Campground

The Kinsmen Campground, which is adjacent to the Kinsmen Swimming Pool, offers fully serviced campsites, electrical sites, non-serviced sites, showers and washroom, as well as sheltered and open picnic tables, and barbeque pits. The campground is open from May to October, weather dependent.

Campers and visitors alike enjoy the pool facility. The park offers picnic facilities complete with barbeque pits, sheltered tables, and a playground for families with young children.

Elk’s Sports Grounds

Home of many provincial championships, look for the Elk’s Sports Grounds at the corner of 2nd Street and Elevator Road. This facility is not only home to an active minor sports program.

Centennial Leisure Park

Centennial Leisure Park is a newly developed Leisure Park located on the 700 block of 5th Ave East. The park has a play structure, a beautiful disc golf course that is currently being developed, and home to a Little Free Library.

Richardson Pioneer Recreation Centre
The Richardson Pioneer Recreation Centre is a hub in Shellbrook. Located at 111 Main St and it is home of World Champion Curlers; Marliese Kasner & Stefanie Lawton. During the season, the curling rink offers: Junior, Two-Person, Regular, Competitive and Senior Curling.

Our skating rink is also home to many of Shellbrook's local groups such as the;  Shellbrook Elks, Shellbrook Silvertips, Shellbrook Skate Club along with other regular users.  To view the rink schedule click here.

Outdoor Skating Rink
Located at 110 - 1 Street East, beside W.P. Sandin High School. The outdoor rink is seasonally ran by volunteers.

Swimming Pool & Spray Park
The Shellbrook Swimming Pool is home to the Shellbrook Silverfins speed swimming club. Swimming programs & lesson scheduling is available in May each year. Check out the Shellbrook Swimming Pool page on Facebook for more information and updates throughout the season.

Shellbrook and Districts Museum
The Museum is open to the public from June to September. If you would like access to the museum during the months that it is closed, contact the Recreation Director at (306) 747-4949, or email recdirector@townofshellbrook.ca.

Shellbrook Scout Building
Shellbrook Scout Building is home to S-CAPE Day Camp. The program takes place during July and August and is jam packed with fun, active and informative activities for all children age 6-12 years. Program hours are 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday. Drop Off times between 7:30am and 9:00am. Pickup times between 3:00pm and 5:15pm.

The Scout Building is also available for rentals for parties, reunions etc. during June, July, August during evenings and weekends. There may also be availability during the month of September.
